1. Adults only

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, send, or receive questions on Psst.

2. Acceptable use

Don't use Psst to harass, bully, threaten, or impersonate anyone, to send sexual content involving minors or non-consenting people, to encourage self-harm, or to spam. We may remove content and suspend accounts that break these rules.

3. Anonymity, hints and reveals

Questions are sent anonymously. The person you send a question to can unlock hints about it, one at a time. Every hint is accurate: the time it was sent, your device type (iPhone, iPad, Android or computer), whether you were signed in or a guest, whether you've asked them before (from the same account or device) and, only if you were signed in and allowed a reveal, the first letter of your username. The last hint is your approximate location, estimated from your IP address: your city only when that lookup is confident, otherwise only your country. It is never your exact location, and they never see your IP address.

If you're signed in, you can choose to allow the recipient to reveal who you are for a question: your Psst username, or your Instagram if you've verified it on Psst. This is off by default. You can withdraw it from your Sent page at any time before a reveal happens. A reveal can't be undone, and you'll be notified when it happens. Questions sent without signing in can never be revealed.

Psst also keeps limited safety information about each message (see the Privacy Policy) and may disclose it where required by law or to prevent serious harm.

4. Pro, reveals and referrals

Psst Pro costs $5 per month and unlocks all hints. Revealing a sender needs Pro and costs $1 per question, and only works for signed-in senders who allowed it.

Your profile link is also your referral link. If someone opens it and then creates an account, they're recorded as referred by you; only the first link they opened counts, and it can't be changed later. People you refer pay $4 per month for Pro and $0.50 per reveal. You earn 1 free hint for each account you refer, once that account has confirmed its email and passed the 18+ check, up to 20 free hints per month. Free hints have no cash value. We may withhold rewards for fake or duplicate accounts.

5. Instagram

You can add your Instagram username to your profile. It's marked unverified until you verify it, and an unverified Instagram is never shown in a reveal.

6. Reporting and blocking

Recipients can report and block senders. Reported messages are hidden and may be reviewed. Hints and reveals aren't available for reported or hidden messages.

7. Answers on your profile

When you answer a question, you can post the question and your answer on your public profile. It's on by default, and you can hide or delete any post at any time. You're responsible for what you post. Posts never show who asked, any hints, reveals or other sender details.

If you send a question, it may be posted on the recipient's profile once they answer it. You stay anonymous. Questions sent before this was possible (before November 2, 2026) are never posted.

Anyone can see a profile's first post. Signed-in adults who accepted these Terms can see all posts. Anyone can report a post; reported posts are hidden while we review them and may be removed.

8. Story images

Background photos you add to story images are processed on your device and never uploaded to Psst. Only post photos you have the right to share.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. When we do, we'll ask you to review and accept the new version before you keep using your account.
